Update: This offer ends tonight!

Back in 2019 American and Hyatt teamed up for reciprocal benefits:
- AA elites earn 1 AA mile for every eligible dollar spent at qualifying Hyatt properties.
- AA top-tier ConciergeKey members receive top-tier World of Hyatt Globalist status.
- Hyatt elites earn 1 Hyatt point mile for every eligible dollar spent on qualifying American flights.
Additionally many Hyatt Globalists, myself included, were given AA Executive Platinum status. That status was extended due to COVID and was easy to extend again, which is how I still have that status years later.
You can link your AA and Hyatt account here on AA.com or here on Hyatt.com.
Linked members can register for a challenge to earn Hyatt elite status. Don’t register until you’re ready to travel or until registration closes!
If you’re going for higher tier AA status (easier than ever thanks to loyalty points) you’ll also want to wait until you achieve Platinum Pro status, as higher elites get a challenge for Hyatt Globalist status.
- AAdvantage elite members can register by 11/30/22 and get Hyatt Explorist status for 90 days.
- AAdvantage elites can stay 10 nights at Hyatt hotels within 90 days of registration and they will keep Explorist status through 2/28/24.
- AAdvantage Platinum Pro and higher elites can stay 20 nights at Hyatt hotels within 90 days of registration and will earn Hyatt Globalist status through 2/28/24.
- Both paid and award stays booked directly through Hyatt qualify for this challenge.
- You will earn the higher status within 7 days of completing the applicable challenge.
- Note that while Globalists are eligible for suite upgrades at checkin, you need to achieve 50 nights in a calendar year in order to start receiving confirmed suite upgrade awards and 60 nights to get a personal concierge, so this is essentially Globalist Lite status.
- Limit one such offer each calendar year per Eligible Member.
- Read more about Hyatt elite benefits here.
- You can also register for bonus points and double elite qualifying nights at Hyatt hotels here.
- You can earn up to 3 elite qualifying nights per stay with a new Hyatt business card.
- You can also earn 500 bonus points on paid or award stays at new Hyatt hotels found in this link.
Will you take advantage of these elite status challenges?

Is there a way to match status from Hyatt Globalist to AA?
Yeah that’s what I need!
Following..
As a Globalist I earn aa miles by spending on Hyatt ? Am I an AA elite being a Hyatt globalist ?
Can I use the instant status offer/challenge from AA I received today and then register for this promo with executive plat pro? Not sure if aa challenge with upgrade instantly, also is it worth wasting initial time allotment for AA challenge given I don’t plan on traveling until next month?
